Dalit family of 3 found murdered in UP

A family of three members was murdered in Hardoi of Uttar Pradesh. Police say it could be a case related to property but all possible reasons of the crime were being looked into.

Hardoi: Three dalits, including a 20-year-old young man, were killed by unidentified people in Tadiyawa area here, police said.

Hira Das, 70, his partner Meera, 60, and their son Netram, 20, who were living in an ashram, were brutally hit with bricks and stones, they said.

Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar told the media that all possible angles of the crime are being looked into as the police investigate the case.

"We are looking into every angle of the case. We are trying to find out if they were killed because of property issue," Kumar said, adding that the three were found dead by the villagers.
