Construction of Shri Ram temple at Ayodhya underway at a brisk face

Several artisans and workers have been involved in the construction of the temple. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has released some new pictures from the construction site, which gave the impression that the construction work was going on at a brisk pace.

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh): The construction of a grand temple of Lord Shri Ram at Ayodhya has been going at a brisk pace. The magnificent temple of Ramlala is likely to be thrown open for devotees in January 2024. Several artisans and workers have been involved in the construction of the temple. Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has released some new pictures from the construction site, which gave the impression that the construction work was moving rapidly. The recent pictures from the construction site suggested that 80 per cent of the ground flooring work has been completed.

Technical experts were engaged in giving finishing touches to the ground flooring work. Besides, the laying of a roof over the sanctum santorum of Ramlala as well as the construction of walls has been underway. The walls surrounding the temple and the entrance gate have been completed almost. The stairs leading up to the temple were also finished. Earlier, the chiselling of Shaligram rocks to carve out idols of Lord Shrim Ram, Laxman, Bharat and Shatrughan was underway at Ayodhya.

A special puja was performed before chiselling the sacred rock. These ancient rocks were brought to Ramnagari in Ayodhya from Nepal. Special arrangements were made to keep these stones. These stones are weighing several tonnes. Of the two rocks, one weighs 26 tonnes while the other is 14 tonnes. These rocks are stated to be 60 million years old. At least a hundred saints and seers were present when the special puja of the sacred rocks was performed. Elaborate arrangements for the safe upkeep of these sacred rocks were made at Ramsevakpuram in Ayodhya.
