Civil suit filed to remove Idgah from Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi

The demand for the removal of Idgah from Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi in Uttar Pradesh is picking up momentum with 5 advocates from Lucknow filing an application in Mathura’s District and Sessions Judge. The hearing of which will take place at 11 am on Monday.

Mathura: The matter of Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi’s freedom from Idgah in Mathura has now started hogging the limelight with many Hindu organisations along with the Bajrang Dal seeking the removal of the Shahi Idgah from the Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi temple complex.

Ranjana Agnihotri, Hari Shankar Jain, Vishnu Shankar Jain and two others advocated have filed a 60-page application in the court of Mathura’s District and Sessions Judge.

The plea was filed on Friday in which they have sought to free Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi from the Idgah. The matter will come up for hearing on Monday.

The Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi is spread in an area of 13.70 acres of land.

Temple security increased

Recently, the Hindu Army Chief Sangathan had threatened to launch an agitation to free Shri Krishna Janmabhoomi from the Masjid, after which the police arrested the Sangathan president Manish Yadav and 21 others.

In view of this, the security in and around the temple premises has been beefed up and CCTV cameras have been installed to maintain a close watch on the visitors of the temple.

No one is being allowed to enter the temple without permission.
