Man set on fire in Nanauta in Uttar Pradesh

The man identified as Sharma of Kalarpur village was attacked by unidentified people in Nanauta before he was set on fire.

Saharanpur: A half-burnt body of a businessman was found in a sugarcane field of Nanauta in Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday.

The man was identified as Ramkumar Sharma of Kallarpur village.

According to sources, Sharma had gone out for some work on his bicycle when some miscreants dragged him inside the sugarcane fields and set his body on fire after killing him.

The villagers noticed the fire and rushed to the spot where they saw the body. They doused the flames and informed the police.

Ashok Kumar Meena, SP, Saharanpur said a case has been registered and the body has been sent for postmortem.

"We have taken the body for post-mortem and launched a probe," he said.
