Lalitpur (UP): The bodies of a woman and her two minor children were found in a well in Lalitpur district of Uttar Pradesh, police said on Friday.
According to the information received, resident of Gurha village, Mahesh Ahirwar's wife (23), his son (7) and daughter (5) bodies were found in the well near his village on Thursday night.
The police reached the spot as soon as the information was received and the bodies were taken out from the well and sent for postmortem.
The deceased woman's mother accused her son-in-law behind the murder.
"Mahesh has a habit of drinking alcohol daily and he used to fight with my daughter a lot," she said. He has also demanded Rs 1 lakh from my daughter, she added.
The bodies have been sent for postmortem and an investigation into the matter is underway.
