Ayodhya Masjid Trust submits detailed project maps to Ayodhya authorities

Ayodhya Masjid Trust - The Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation has submitted the detailed sketches and map of its proposed project in Ayodhya's Dhannipur to the Ayodhya Development Authority on Monday. The trust will develop a mosque and other facilities on 5 acres of land provided by the Supreme Court of India under the Ayodhya verdict.

Ayodhya: Ayodhya Masjid Trust - The Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation has submitted the detailed sketches and map of its proposed project in Ayodhya's Dhannipur to the Ayodhya Development Authority on Monday. The trust will develop a mosque and other facilities on 5 acres of land provided by the Supreme Court of India under the Ayodhya verdict.

Captain Afzal Ahmed Khan, a trustee of the Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation, held a meeting with the Vice-Chairman and other officials of the Ayodhya Development Authority and discussed the proposed project of Ayodhya Masjid Trust, which also includes a 300-bed super speciality hospital, a community kitchen with a capacity to feed thousand people daily, and a dedicated research centre.

The mosque will be dedicated to the great freedom fighter Maulvi Ahmadullah Shah. The mosque can accommodate two thousand people for namaz at one go. Captain Afzal Ahmed Khan also handed over the detailed maps and design diagrams to Vishal Singh, Vice-Chairman of the Ayodhya Development Authority. The Trust has also deposited Rs. 89,000 as the processing fee for the approval of the maps.

Capt Afzal Ahmed Khan has also expressed deep concern over the non-issuance of 80G tax exemption certificate by the Income Tax Department to the Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation, adding that this has stopped donations for the trust and is hindering us in starting the project. He has urged the Central Government and the Ministry of Finance to intervene in this matter.
