The work was halted following the court's order and resumed after the Supreme Court on November 9, 2019, permitted the construction of the Ram Temple at the disputed site.

Later the construction giant Larsen and Toubro (L&T) offered to carry out the design and construction of the temple.

It is yet to decide whether the work of carving stones will be done by the VHP or the company.

In response to this question, Anubhai Sompura, the main supervisor of the workshop, said that no instruction in this regard has been received from the trust.

Currently, the work of stone grinding and carving is being carried out by artisans who belong from various states.

"The stone carving for one floor in the workshop has been completed. The work of the grinder still remains. Further work will be started as soon as the Trust gives us instruction to proceed, " Sompura told ETV Bharat.

Anubhai Sompura has been watching the stone carving work for more than two decades in the Ram Janmabhoomi temple construction workshop.
