Hathras incident: BJP MP Rajveer Singh's audio goes viral

Rajveer Singh, BJP MP from Hathras found himself embroiled in a controversy after he made an absurd comment in connection with Hathras rape case. MP Rajvir Diler gave an open description of his insensitiveness.

Aligarh: Rajveer Singh Diler, BJP MP from Hathras found himself embroiled in a controversy after an audio clip in which he purportedly makes an absurd comment in connection with Hathras rape case, went viral on social media.

In the audio clip, a leader of the Valmiki Samaj from Kalwa, Geeta Nagar (Mumbai) is heard asking Rajveer Singh to ensure justice is served to the family of the gang-rape victim.

To this, the MP said that the matter has been settled and that Rs 25 lakh and a house has been given to the victim's family.

"The case has been settled. They have been given Rs 25 lakh, a house and also a job to the deceased's brother. Anyway, the girl is not going to come back," said Rajveer Singh.

When the other person asks why the police burnt the victim's body and if action will be taken against the policemen, the MP, hinting at his insensitiveness in the matter, asks: "Why don't u take action against the police''.
