UP: A small trader finds SIM card installed in LED bulb

A businessman Aniket Kesharwani, a resident of the Bharwari town of Kokhraj police station area found a SIM card inside a LED bulb holder which he received from a camp in the village. After getting information, police have taken over the bulb for investigation.

Kausambi: People in Uttar Pradesh's Kausambi village were terrified after a businessman found a SIM card installed in a bulb holder which he received from a camp in the village. After getting information, police have taken over the holder for further investigation.

Aniket Kesharwani, a resident of the Bharwari town of Kokhraj police station area said, "I bought some LED bulbs from a camp one month ago. After which on October 7, I received a call that I have won two LED bulbs and a holder under the Gram Ujala Yojana. The caller asked for my address after which two young men reached my doorstep with a form. They asked me to fill the form and gave me two LED bulbs along with the holder free of cost,"

The fertilizer trader further added that "the people who delivered him the bulbs, had a readymade list of more than 50 beneficiaries. When the bulb stopped functioning I opened the bulb. I was shocked to find a SIM card in it. Later, I informed the police and they have taken the bulb along with them."

Superintendent of Police (SP) Radheshyam Vishwakarma refused to speak about it. However, he said it might be a terrorist activity, and the police is investigating the matter.
