Five held for killing cows, 15 at large

Five people, including a woman, were arrested on Thursday for allegedly killing cows. The police conducted a raid in a jungle near a village in Garhmukteshwar area and recovered bovine carcasses as the hunt is on for15 more people who are at large.

Hapur: Five people, including a woman, were arrested on Thursday in Uttar Pradesh's Hapur district for allegedly killing cows while police are on the lookout for 15 more wanted men in the matter.

"Acting on a tip-off, the police conducted a raid in a jungle near village Garhmukteshwar and recovered bovine carcasses," Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Ram Mohan Singh said.

According to the police case has been registered against the five arrested men and those at large.
