Lucknow: Amid growing concerns over the spread of the novel coronavirus, as many as 40 doctors including the Vice-Chancellor of the King George Medical University (KGMU) have tested positive for coronavirus in Uttar Pradesh's Lucknow on Tuesday.
As per the information, many of them have been tested positive even after taking the COVID jab.
At least 20 doctors have been infected in the General Surgery Department whereas nine have tested positive in the Department of Urology, said an official.
They further said that these departments have been sealed after sanitising them properly.
Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh government has said that not more than 100 persons will be allowed at a time in weddings and other functions in view of the spiralling COVID-19 cases.
