Kasganj (Uttar Pradesh): At least three people were killed and dozens injured after an under-construction building collapsed in Uttar Pradesh's Kasganj town on Sunday.
Kasganj ASP, Aditya Prakash Verma took stock of the situation after the under-construction roof of a factory collapsed.
The identities of the deceased are yet to ascertained but sources said that the building was occupied by construction labourers who were working on the site.
Firemen, NDRF, and police teams on reaching the spot started moving the debris but later called in excavating machines to move the heavy concrete slabs to rescue the trapped persons.
Officials said 12 people were rescued and are undergoing treatment at the Aligarh government hospital. A case of accidental death has been registered at the Kotwali police station and further investigations are underway.
