Mahoba: Three people were killed while four others were critically injured after their car rammed into a tree and overturned in Mahoba district of Uttar Pradesh on Saturday.
The mishap took place on Kanpur-Sagar highway when the car in which they were travelling to Naugaon to attend a program in the ongoing fair in the city.
"My car was at a distance of 100 metres when I heard a loud sound. I saw a car rammed into a tree and that's when I stopped other passersby to avert further accident in the region," said an eyewitness.
Police believe that the driver of the car may have lost control of the vehicle before colliding with the tree.
On receiving information about the untoward incident, police officials reached the spot to enquire about the same. The injured ones were admitted to the nearest hospital to get the necessary medical aid.
Of all the injured, the condition of two stated to be critical have been referred to Jhansi medical college hospital for treatment.
