Hardoi: With the arrest of three people, Uttar Pradesh police claimed to have solved the triple murder case, wherein a family of three was killed with bricks and stones in Tadiyawa area in Hardoi.
In a press conference, Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar told the media that the accused killed Hira Das, 70, his partner Meera, 60, and their son Netram, 20 three days ago to grab their land.
They had prepared documents in this regard, he said, adding that Rakspal, a history-sheeter, visited Hira Das at his ashram, a year ago after being released from the jail and had become a "follower" of Hira Das.
Hira Das wanted Rakspal to leave his ashram after he came to know about his criminal background, the police official said.
Meanwhile, Rakspal prepared a plan along with his brother-in-law Sanjay and friend Rajiv, whom he met in jail last year, to kill the family and grab the land.
Police are looking for other people who may have helped the three in committing the crime, he said.
