Greater Noida: Two children have lost their lives whereas nine others are reported injured after a two-storey building collapsed in Greater Noida; due to heavy rains in the area.
The incident took place in the wee hours of Tuesday in the Dubli village under the Rabupura police station limits.
The deceased have been identified as Prachi (7) and Sonia (9).
According to reports, the building collapsed as the house was old and weak; and family members were fast asleep while the incident took place and the occupants got trapped.
Reportedly, bodies of two victims were recovered from under the debris by the police.
On receiving the information, police officials rushed to the spot and conducted a rescue operation. Meanwhile, the injured have been admitted to a nearby hospital in Bulandshahr.
Police officials said all the nine injured persons are in a stable condition.
