Sangareddy (Telangana): An accused who allegedly raped a 32-year-old woman in Sangareddy's Zaheerabad, died on Wednesday in a road accident. The other too accused in the case, who were also in the same car, suffered injuries and were arrested by the police.
According to reports, a police team from Zaheerabad went to Bidar to nab the accused, after CCTV footage indicated that the trio had fled to the neighbouring district in Karnataka.
The three accused attempted to escape in a car, which later overturned, killing one accused on the spot. The other two received injuries and were taken into custody by the police.
According to reports, the men, posing as police personnel, 'detained' a woman bus passenger and one of them allegedly raped her.

According to Siddeshwar, circle inspector of police, Zaheerabad town, the 32-year-old woman, running a kirana (retail) shop in Suryapet district of Telangana and carrying gutka, was returning to the state from neighbouring Bidar district of Karnataka by bus.
When the bus neared the outskirts of Zaheerabad, the men approached her saying they were policemen and searched her luggage.
The accused then asked her to alight from the bus as she was carrying the tobacco item. Then one of them took her to an isolated place and allegedly raped her and escaped from the scene.
