Mancherial (Telangana): A woman and toddler son died after being hit by lightning while her husband suffered burn injuries in Mancherial on Monday. Telangana state has been receiving good rains last two days.
A couple, Venkatesh and Mounika along with their child were travelling on a motorcycle while it was raining. They were struck by lightning at the railway bridge and collapsed on the road. Mounika and the child died on the spot. Venkatesh with serious injuries was rushed to the government hospital in Mancherial.
Local police rushed to the spot and recovered the dead bodies.
