Mahabubnagar: Four people of the same family, including an 18-month old baby, were killed when an autorickshaw in which they were traveling collided with a speeding lorry on Jadcherla-Nasurullabad highway of Telangana's Mahabubnagar district on Wednesday.
As per reports, the deceased were as identified as Naresh, who was driving the auto, a couple and their 18-month-old daughter, Megha Varshini. Of the four, two people were dead on the spot while the other two died while undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.
The fifth passenger, a four-year-old Hayathi, was the only survivor of the mishap that claimed the lives of four from her family while they were heading towards Nasrullabad from Jadcherla in the autorickshaw. The four-year-old child miraculously survived and is currently undergoing treatment.
Police have registered a case and further investigation into the matter is underway.
