Hyderabad: The NDA under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership would form government on its own at the center after the Lok Sabha elections and it will not need support from parties like TRS, Telangana BJP said here on Tuesday.

"NDA does not require the support of parties like Telangana Rashtra Samithi. We are confident NDA is going to have the government on its own by winning more than 300 seats in 2019 Lok Sabha elections," Laxman told reporters here."Under the leadership of Narendra Modi, NDA is going to form the government on its own.

The TRS is seeking 16 seats for itself and one for ally AIMIM of Asaduddin Owaisi to ensure that Telangana gets a 'good' deal post the Lok Sabha elections.

There are 17 Lok Sabha seats in Telangana.

It's significant that Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, who had proposed a non-BJP, non-Congress government at Centre, has favoured a Federal Front government in the country after the Lok Sabha polls.

Laxman accused KCR of being vindictive against government employees for not voting favour of candidates supported by the ruling party in recently held Legislative Council elections.

In a setback to the ruling TRS in Telangana, party-backed candidates lost the Legislative Council elections held for three constituencies in March.

The government employees have demanded Interim Relief and Pay Revision Commission (PRC), but nothing came of it and CM "forgot" about it, Laxman said.

"KCR says the revenue department will be revamped to root out corruption.

There is rampant corruption in the name of redesigning irrigation projects. Why Chief Minister is not speaking about corruption, be it sand mafia or land mafia. The Chief Minister himself does not go to Secretariat," Laxman said.

He also alleged that Telangana government reduced reservations to Backward Classes (BCs) in Panchayat Raj institutions from 34 percent to 23 percent, citing a Supreme Court order.

"However, in the context of panchayat elections, the Chief Minister's decision to reduce BC quota without exploring available constitutional and legislative provisions for maintenance of 34 percent reservation for them, raises doubts on Government's intentions vis-a-vis justice to BCs", he maintained.
