Hyderabad: Tamil Nadu police registered a cheating case of Rs. 90.65 lakhs against an accused Udayashankar Parupalli, owner of Solumed Pharma company.
Udayashankar allegedly cheated the complainant, a Tamil Nadu based doctor, Chandramohan in terms of supplying 2 lakh pieces of 3M N95 8310 Model masks.
Tamil Nadu police have written to Hyderabad police to cooperate with the investigation.
On May 22nd 2020, Udayashankar contacted the complainant and conveyed, he was a dealer of 3M N95, 8310 Model Mask with Duke company Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and also sent some documented video to Chandramohan.
Chandramohan agreed to purchase 2 Lakh pieces 3M N95 Masks from Parupalli.
The accused Udayashankar Parupalli instructed to deposit 20% of the advance amount in his Solumed Pharma company account number. Chandramohan deposited Rs. 90,65,161 in several dates from 31st of May, 2020 to 2nd of July, 2020.
After the money transaction, Udayashankar sent SGS Certificate regarding a 3M N95 Masks to the complainant. On verification with SGS company, the complainant found SGS Certificate was fake. So Chandramohan requested Udayasankar Parupalli to return back the amount deposited on several occasions to which Parupalli denied and even threatened the complainant.
Following which, a case was registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
