Muthoot Finance robbery accused nabbed in Cyberabad

A gang of seven who had robbed Muthoot Finance office in Hosur, Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu, have been arrested by the Cyberabad cops. 25 kg of gold and Rs 93 lakh were seized from them.

Hosur (Tamil Nadu): A robbery took place at Muthoot Finance office in Hosur, Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. The gang of six people went into the office as customers, after which they threatened the staff with weapons and looted money. The accused fled the scene after the robbery on two-wheelers. After reaching 20 kilometres away from the crime spot they have kept the looted money and gold into a container which was arranged before robbery according to their plan.

The container then headed to Nagpur and these six people went to Bengaluru on two-wheelers. After reaching Bengaluru they arranged themselves a Tata sumo and headed to Ananthagiri. In order to escape from the police, they again changed a vehicle to come to Hyderabad.

Meanwhile, after arriving at the crime scene Hosur police examined the CCTV cameras. they suspected that the accused may have used the vehicles and fled towards Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Telangana. so they sent the photos of the accused and the details of the vehicles used by them to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana police.

The six people of robbery gang escaped at Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. According to the information given by Hosur police, Telangana police formed a team of 150 people and arranged them at different check posts to get the thieves. At Shadnagar toll gate Which is under Cyberbad commissionerate, the police caught a sumo with six suspected members. The Cyberabad police stopped them and interrogated for 2 hours.

During interrogation, the accused agreed that they had committed a robbery at Muthoot Finance office and sent those looted things in a container. With this information, Cyberabad police informed other checkpoints to keep an eye on the container. Finally, they nabbed the container vehicle at Medchal check post and seized it.

Cyberabad CP VC Sajjanar said that seven accused have been arrested in connection with the robbery at Muthoot Finance in Hosur, Krishnagiri district of Tamil Nadu. It was revealed that 25 kg of gold and Rs 93 lakh were seized from them.

CP Sajjanar said the lorry, container, sumo, 13 cell phones, 7 pistols, 10 magazines and 97 rounds of bullets belonging to the robbers were seized. The accused were arrested on the basis of CCTV footage sent by the Tamil Nadu police.
