She added that after reaching Oman she was received by an unknown person at the airport who later sent her to a remote area. “There I was been kept in an agent’s office where they used to lock me from outside.”

The victim was also sent to various places to work as a housemaid where she was tortured and was not even provided with adequate food.

“They didn't even take me to a hospital when I was suffering from an infection on my body,” she said adding that she was not even paid remuneration for three months.

“Later, my mother wrote a letter to External Affairs Minister (EAM) Sushma Swaraj and urged to rescue me as I was in a horrible condition. Acting on which, the Indian Embassy in Muscat spoke to my Omani agent and ensured my return to Hyderabad. I thank Sushma Swaraj ma'am for bringing me back on February 25,” she further stated.
