Tirunelveli: Raising eyebrows, Sagaya Castro, a 16-month-old child has recognized 30 political leaders and won seven accolades. While children of his age start to babble, Castro astonished people with his amazing memory power. His parents were stunned as he started saying whatever they said the previous day. As Castro showed extraordinary memory skills, his parents started teaching him.
Castro has been recognizing leaders including Mahatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Narendra Modi, Donald Trump, MK Stalin, TTV Dhinakaran while his mother shows him flash cards.
Terrance, his father, said, "When he was six months old, he exhibited good memory skills. When we used to say something, he imitated, repeated and memorized it. So we started teaching him the names of objects. In a week, he started identifying about 100 items and we taught him further." His mother Rebecca said, "We never forced him for anything, he learnt it with ease. In future, we will support him for his dreams."
Seven award-winning companies, including the Indian Book of World Records, the International Book of World Records, and the Kalam Book of World Records, have honoured him with awards. The Indian Book of World Records also honoured Castro with the 'Indian Kid of the Year 2021' award for winning seven awards at a very young age.
