Theni (Tamil Nadu ): Theni's All Women Police Station in Tamil Nadu has been adjudged among the top 10 best-performing police stations across the country.
The list of best 10 police stations was released by the Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday, at the DGP conference.
Theni's All Women Police station has secured the 4th position in the list, while Aberdeen in Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Balasinor in Mahisagar in Gujarat, Ajk Burhanpur in Madhya Pradesh's Burhanpu have secured the first three positions respectively.
It shows that the dedication and sincerity of police personnel to prevent & control crime and serve the nation is more important than the availability of resources.

The objective behind the ranking of the top 10 Police Stations out of 15,579 Police Stations across the nation through data analysis, is to provide feedback to the police to motivate them.
The ranking process, however, commenced with shortlisting of the best performing Police Stations, in each State on the basis of performance of the personnel, in which this part constitutes 80% of weight in overall scoring.
Besides this, the balance 20% was based on the infrastructure of Police Station and approachability of personnel and Citizen feedback.
Meanwhile, 5,461 respondents, covering approximately 60 people at each shortlisted location, were approached for feedback.
