New Delhi: Tamil Nadu has become the latest state to receive Oxygen Express. The first Oxygen Express to Tamil Nadu, carrying 80 Metric Tonnes (MT) of Liquid Medical Oxygen (LMO), will reach in the wee hours of Friday. This train carries four tankers of oxygen which were loaded from Durgapur. It is expected to reach its destination at Tondiarpet Container terminal, Chennai, at around 1 am.
Meanwhile, Telangana will receive its fourth Oxygen Express with 120 MT of LMO in six tankers. Faridabad received 105.81 MT of LMO from Angul at 9.25 am on Thursday.

Oxygen Expresses have so far delivered more than 3,900 MT of LMO through 207 tankers in the NCR region.
The Indian Railways informed that nearly 7,115 MT of LMO in more than 444 tankers have been delivered to various states across the country.
Till now, 407 MT of LMO has been offloaded in Maharashtra, nearly 1,960 MT in Uttar Pradesh, 361 MT in Madhya Pradesh, 1,135 MT in Haryana, 188 MT in Telangana, 72 MT in Rajasthan, 120 MT in Karnataka and at least 2,748 MT in Delhi.
"Running of new Oxygen Express is a very dynamic exercise and figures keep getting updated all the time. More loaded Oxygen Expresses are expected to start their journeys later in the night," Railways said in its statement.
