Madurai (Tamil Nadu): Man involved in chain-snatching was apprehended in Kudalputhur area of Madurai's Krishnapuram.He was appearing for police exam when police arrested him.
The accused has been identified as Vijayakanth.
He was absconding after police started tracking him with CCTV footage.
On August 25, a written exam for TamilNadu Police was conducted in a private engineering college, Mellur in Madurai district.
Police received information from the secret source says, "Vijayakanth, who is involved in chain snatching incident came for writing the exam in the exam centre for the Police trainee posting''.
Police reached the spot and arrested Vijayakanth when he came out after completing the written exam.
