Sri Lankan underworld death row: Post-mortem reveals intake of poison

The post-mortem report of Sri Lankan underworld don Angoda Lokka has revealed that his finger nails and toenails were blue thus indicating poison intake. Wanted by Sri Lankan Police, Angoda Lokka had gone underground in 2017 and died in Coimbatore on July 3.

Coimbatore: The post-mortem report of Sri Lankan underworld don Angoda Lokka revealed there was an intake of poison, however it is yet to be ascertained if it was a suicide or a murder, the police said on Sunday.

Cops added that the post-mortem was done by CMCH Forensic physicians on July 5th. The report stated that deceased person's finger nails and toenails were blue. However, there was no evidence of external and internal injuries over the body. Additionally, heart enlargement was also noted.

On August 4, Tamil Nadu Director-General of Police (DGP), JK Tripathy transferred the death case of wanted Sri Lankan underworld don Angoda Lokka to the Crime Branch, Crime Investigation Department (CB-CID).

Further, Coimbatore Police on July 3 arrested three people for forging documents to claim his body. Wanted by Sri Lankan Police, Angoda Lokka had gone underground in 2017 and died in Coimbatore on July 3.
