Chennai: Sasikala who had arrived in Chennai after her 23-hour travel is soon to meet with her supporters to contest in coming elections. General Secretary of Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK) TTV Dhinakaran had also stated that actor Rajinikanth had enquired about Sasikala's health over the phone.
AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran had thanked the people of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu who gave a warm welcome to Sasikala after her release from prison.
Dhinakaran took to Twitter to thank people, stating, "Heartfelt thanks to all who warmly welcomed the leader as never seen in Indian political history." After Sasikala arrived at her niece Krishnapriya's home, TTV met the reporters.
"I will compete in the two constituencies in RK Nagar in the assembly election. Legal advice will be sought on Sasikala contesting the election," he told the media.
"A lot of people from AIADMK have spoken to me, I can’t say about it openly. AIADMK men along with AMMK members welcomed Sasikala. Actor Rajinikanth has also inquired about Sasikala's health over the phone," he added.

While addressing her party members at Vaniambadi, Sasikala said "I am going to get involved in serious politics and will meet the people soon. Let us all act in unity to sit back in power." Her statement has reportedly sent ripples across the political spectrum of Tamil Nadu.
Sasikala arrived in Chennai after a 23-hour journey from Bangalore. The former aide of late Jayalalithaa is soon expected to meet supporters. The forthcoming actions of Sasikala will have an impact on Tamil Nadu politics, political observers say.
