Pills worth Rs 16 lakh seized in Chennai Airport
Customs dept in Chennai has detained two parcels containing green colour pills suspected to be MDMA, a narcotic substance. A total of 540 pills of MDMA worth 16 lakhs were recovered and seized under the NDPS Act, 1985. Customs have arrested two youths who came to deliver the parcel.
Chennai: Chennai Air Customs detained two postal parcels suspected to contain narcotics substance, which had arrived from the Netherlands at Foreign Post Office, Chennai. On examination, the parcel was found to contain green colour pills suspected to be MDMA, a narcotic substance. Total 540 pills of MDMA worth Rs. 16 Lakhs were recovered and seized under the NDPS Act, 1985.
Custom dept seized two postal parcels containing a total 540 MDMA pills worth Rs 16 lakhs which arrived from the Netherlands at Foreign Post Office, Chennai. Two persons were detained, said Commissioner of Customs, Chennai International Airport.
The green-yellow colour pills are commonly known as Brazuca (CBF) containing more than 220 mg MDMA, whereas the pink colour pills known as Givenchy have 250 mg of MDMA. Samples have been sent to the laboratory. The parcel address was a fake one. Customs arrested two youths who came to deliver the parcel.

Students are increasingly using these pills, so these young people are importing drug pills using the banned website in the name of pharmaceutical products for sale to students. Further investigation is in progress in this regard. The air customs officials seized 3 Lakh worth MDMA pills on July 02.
