Chennai: On his first official trip after assuming charge as the chief minister of Tamil Nadu, M K Stalin on Thursday visited three districts Salem, Tirupur and Coimbatore to review the COVID-19 prevention and relief activities.

He first visited the Salem Steel Plant where he inaugurated a special COVID care centre with 500 oxygenated beds. At Tirupur, he launched a COVID-19 vaccination drive for people in the age group of 18-44 years. He then visited the COVID care centre at Coimbatore District Small Industries Association where he inaugurated an 800-bed facility at private a college.
Stalin appealed to his supporters not to crowd or make attempts to meet him during his two-day visits or places of his stay in wake of the prevailing COVID-19 situation.
