Virudhunagar (Tamil Nadu): A 27-year-old man was killed on Wednesday night after a clash broke out between two groups in Tamil Nadu's Virudhunagar district.
According to sources, the deceased, Sathish, opposed the unanimous nomination of an AIADMK functionary as Panchayat president which led to an argument.

The heated argument then turned into a clash where Sathish was beaten by the rival group, said sources.
Sathish succumbed to his injuries when he was taken to the hospital, added sources.
It is to be noted that the Virudhunagar police have arrested seven people related to the incident and started the investigation.
