41-year-old female elephant dies of age-related ailments in Tamil Nadu

A 41 year-old elephant died in Tamil Nadu. Forest officials said the death was a result of age-related ailment. A garland was placed on the dead elephant and buried by the officials.

Coimbatore: A 41-year-old cow elephant died of age-related ailments at the elephant camp near Pollachi in the district on Monday, forest officials said.

The elephant Kalpana in the Kolikamuthy camp in Top Slip area had been suffering from the ailments for the last two months and been under treatment, they said.

A garland was placed on the dead elephant and was buried by the officials.
