Dungarpur (Rajasthan): A woman was charred to death in a fire accident at Talora village of Rajasthan's Dungarpur district on Thursday.
The deceased woman has been identified as Heera Patidar of the same village.
According to villagers, Patidar had gone to the nearby field where she set the dry haystacks on fire. Due to increased wind, the fire burned more rapidly. While attempting to extinguish the fire, her clothes caught fire accidentally and she sustained critical burn injuries.
Some locals spotted blaze coming from the field and alerted the fire service department. However, the woman was burnt to death in the massive fire, sources said.
On being informed, police reached the spot and launched a probe to ascertain the exact cause of the mishap. Reportedly, police have sent the body of the deceased to the Aspur Community Health Center for post-mortem, sources added.
Notably, Patidar had married 13 years ago and she has a 12 -year-old son. Her husband died of an illness seven years ago
