Ajmer: In an alleged mob-lynching incident, two youths in Ajmer were beaten up by a mob and their car was vandalized, after they hit a flock of sheep in Bherwai village of Rajasthan.
According to reports, the incident took near the Rupangarh police station area of Kishangarh while a speeding car was passing through the region.
The car hit a flock of sheep and then a crashed onto a bike on its way. Two sheep reportedly died in the incident, while a man riding the bike was injured in the accident.
Following this, the angry mob allegedly stone pelted the car and attacked the youths.
The victims, identified as Sirajuddin from Kuchil village and Shakir from Sursura, were later handed over to the police. Despite taking the two men into custody, the police have not registered any case in the matter.
However, SP Kishan Singh Bhati said that the police is currently investigating the case.
"Neither of the parties have approached the police to file an FIR. We will proceed once we receive a complaint," he added.
