Three held for raping woman in absence of her husband

A married woman was raped by three men at her home in Rajasthan's Sikar district. The accused men threatened to kill the victim's son and raped her. All the accused have been arrested by the police.

Sikar (Raj): Three men were arrested Friday for allegedly raping a married woman in the absence of her husband at her home in Rajasthan's Sikar district, police said.

The incident happened on Tuesday when the woman's husband had gone out of station to attend a wedding ceremony. The accused were given a contract to whitewash the victim's home. Finding the woman with her son at their home, the accused climbed the first floor on a ladder and threatened to kill her son and raped her. The woman's in-laws were sleeping in a room at the ground floor, DSP Fatehpur Kushal Singh said.

Aakil Pinara (35) and Sanif alias Seefa (28) raped the woman whereas Abdul Gani (29) waited outside to raise an alarm. They fled away after snatching her mobile phone, he added.

The woman informed her husband on May 8 after he returned home following which they registered an FIR against the three, police said. All three were booked under IPC section 458 (trespass or house-breaking by night), 376D (gang-rape), 392 (theft) and 34 (common intention).

The accused were presented in the court from where they were sent to police remand till May 14 and the woman was examined by a medical board, they said.
