SHO Vishnoi's body cremated with full state honours in Rajasthan

The Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajgarh police station, Vishnu Dutt Vishnoi's mortal remains was cremated with full state honours in his native Lunewala village in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar on Sunday.

Sri Ganganagar (Rajasthan): The cremation of Station House Officer (SHO) of Rajgarh police station, Vishnu Dutt Vishnoi who allegedly committed suicide due to stress and increased pressure, was held at his native village, Lunewala in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar on Sunday.

According to reports, Vishnoi's body was found hanging from the ceiling on Saturday morning at the official quarter. Two suicide notes were also found from the site.

The first note was addressed to the Churu Superintendent of Police where he described extreme pressure on him for committing suicide. The second letter was addressed to his parents and no one was accused in the note, reports said.

The mortal remains of the SHO, Vishnoi brought to Lunewala village around 4.30 pm today.

His body was then taken out in a decorated vehicle to his residence in Lunewala village in Rayasinghnagar. Hundreds of people, including a large number of students chanted patriotic slogans like 'Bharat Mata ki Jai' and 'Vande Mataram' and 'Rajasthan Police Zindabad' on the way.

The officer's mortal remains were kept at his residence, where his old aged father and mother live. After some time, the body was taken away for cremation.

Some serving and former Police officers, MLA Balbir Luthra, IG Bikaner, among others placed floral wreaths on the officer's body.
