Bharatpur (Rajasthan): Police have arrested two persons from Movat area in Rajasthan's Bharatpur on Tuesday for allegedly creating Facebook IDs of Kerala IG and looting people.
The duo has been identified as Sukhdev and Lakhan Singh of Khoh area of the same district.
Acting on inputs, a joint team of Rajasthan and Kerala police carried out a search operation and nabbed the accused from Khoh area of Bharatpur.
"During the investigation, we found that the accused had created several fake Facebook IDs. They have also created a facebook ID of Kerala IG and impersonating them as the police official, they had looted over Rs 2 lakhs from a man recently," a police official said.
"They used to chat with people by impersonating a girl or any official and loot people through phone pe and google pay. We have arrested them from their village and further investigation is on," the police official added.
A case was registered at Sain police station in Trivandrum and an investigation was launched.
