Two were injured after an autorickshaw plunged into the 20-feet ditch which formed when the road caved in. The autorickshaw was heading towards Ashok Nagar when it fell into the pit.

Jaipur: Road caved in at Ashok Nagar in Rajasthan's Jaipur, leaving two injured on Saturday.

Two were injured after an autorickshaw plunged into the 20-feet ditch which formed when the road caved in.

The autorickshaw was heading towards Ashok Nagar when it fell into the pit.

The autorickshaw driver and a passenger were rescued by the emergency services which reached spot promptly.

The two injured passengers were shifted to SMS Hospital. According to police, passenger's condition is stable but the driver health condition is critical.

On being informed about the incident, a police team rushed to the spot, cordoned off the area and diverted the traffic which led to a traffic jam on Ashok Nagar road.

Notably, the city has been witnessing several incidences cave-in incidents as underground utilities have corroded and developed cracks, leading cavity formations.
