Rajasthan: Man arrested for beating cousin to death

Rajasthan police arrested a man for beating his maternal cousin to death in Jalore district's Sirana village. The victim succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital. A case was registered after family members staged a protest for the immediate arrest of the accused.

Barmer (Rajasthan): A man has been arrested for brutally thrashing his cousin to death in Sirana village of Rajasthan's Jalore district on Tuesday.

Rajasthan: Man arrested for beating cousin to death

According to police, the incident took place when 30-year-old Fusaram from Sindhari went to his maternal grandfather's house in Sirana village on Monday. He was brutally thrashed by his maternal cousin Suresh Kumar with lathis following a heated argument between them.

Fusaram who was critically injured was rushed to the nearby hospital but the doctors declared him brought dead.

On being informed, top police officials including Jalore DSP and Sindhari station in-charge reached the hospital and sent the body for post-mortem.

The preliminary post-mortem report stated the cause of death as an excessive loss of blood and grievous injuries.

A case was registered against Kumar under various sections of Indian Penal Code (IPC) after family members and villagers staged a protest for the immediate arrest of the accused.
