Alwar: The Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has said that the demand of five per cent reservation to Gurjars and other communities in government requirements is being looked into.
Interacting with ETV Bharat here, Labour Minister Tikaram Jully has said efforts are on to resolve the issue.
"There were issues earlier also and they were resolved through talks. This too will be sorted out," he said, expressing confidence in the on-going talks with the community leaders.
However, the community leaders said the state government must implement it by the first of next month.
Prem Patel, leader of Gurjars, said every move of the government was being watched and the community is ready to hold state-wide protests in case need be.
He said the community should get its due and the government must not delay it any further.

Pilot said it was brought to his notice that the people in the MBC (More Backward Classes) category were not being given the benefits of the five-per cent reservation rule in government recruitments.
Pilot, who was sacked from the posts of deputy chief minister and Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president in July after he rebelled against Gehlot's leadership, is from the Gurjar community
