Jaipur: Raja, the last white tiger at Nahargarh Biological Park in Jaipur, died on Tuesday.
According to preliminary reports, kidney disease is being cited as the reason for death. This has worried the park authorities as this may jeopardize the safety of other wild animals also.
The tiger was under observation from 1st August after his health deteriorated.
Since then, medicine was being given continuously on the advice of expert doctors, but the tiger did not recover from kidney disease.
A postmortem examination of the body was conducted. The samples collected during the examination have been sent to a testing lab in Bareilly. Only after the report comes the real cause of death will be revealed.
