Pushkar: A girl reported missing in Pushkar city in Rajasthan has been found dead. The body of the 11-year-old girl was found on Tuesday in nearby Khori village, sources said.
According to sources, the girl had gone to the hills near Baidyanath Mahadev Temple to graze her goats. Her family members informed the police when she did not return home.
A search for the girl led police to her body in Khori village and the remains were sent for a post-mortem examination. The girl's family said she might have been raped before she was murdered.
A suspect has been detained and more investigation continues in the case. Reports point out the latest incident comes as police in Pushkar city are yet to solve some murder cases including the killing of a temple priest.
