Man roast papad on hot sand as Churu sizzles at 50 degrees Celsius

As Churu district in Rajasthan is reeling under the heatwave, a man in the district was seen roasting papad on the hot sand. Churu on Wednesday recorded the highest temperature at 50.8 degrees Celsius.

Churu (Rajasthan): Rajasthan is regarded as the hottest region in the country, but have you ever witnessed anybody roasting papad on the sand.

Yes, you read it right!

A man in churu district of Rajasthan was spotted roasting Papad on the hot sand.

Heat-wave conditions continued in northern and central parts of the country with Churu recording the highest temperature on Wednesday at 50.8 degrees Celsius.

It is the highest temperature for Churu since 2010, which recorded a maximum of 46.4 degrees on April 16 that year. Even the minimum of 30.8 degrees Celsius was high for the city.

In major part of the desert state, the mercury hovered between 40 and 46 degrees Celsius. The minimum too was above normal.
