New Delhi: The Supreme Court on Tuesday adjourned hearing the petition challenging the merger of former six Rajasthan BSP MLAs with Congress for the next hearing on August 13.
The top court also allowed the MLAs to withdraw their plea seeking transfer of the case from Rajasthan High Court to the Supreme Court.

In its reply to the petitioner BJP MLA Madan Dilwar who had contended that the merger of six BSP MLAs to Congress was unconstitutional, the apex court said that the issue was listed before the Rajasthan High Court. So it is the high court which will make a decision in this regard.
However, the court also said that if Rajasthan HC will fail to pass any order, then the Supreme Court will take over the matter.
