Ajmer (Rajasthan): Former Rajasthan Deputy Chief Minister and Congress leader, Sachin Pilot's five-day 'Jan Sangharsh Yatra' that began from Ajmer entered its day two with his Friday morning walk. The march aims at raising the issues against corruption began from Ajmer on Thursday.
Before launching his yatra, Polit addressed a rally near Ashok Udyan on Jaipur road where he said that he embarked on this journey to raise his voice against issues like corruption and problems related to the future of the youths.
Talking to ANI, Pilot said, "It is May and very hot summer but still people are coming out on the street because the issues I have raised are relevant. Issues of corruption and problems of related to the future of our youths affect us. We hope our state government take cognisance of the issues I have raised."
The Tonk MLA who walked for nearly 25 km on the first day from Ajmer to Tolamal village in Kishangarh said that this march is not against anyone but focused on issues he raised. Thousands of party workers followed him holding Tricolor and shouted slogans supporting him. Pilot has been at loggerheads with Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot over the post of chief minister ever since the party formed the government there in 2018. Gehlot at a programme in Dholpur last week had said that former chief minister Vasundhara Raje and Congress leaders Kailash Meghwal and Shobharani Kushwah helped in saving his government by not supporting the conspiracy that was hatched to topple him in 2020.
Gehlot had also asked the Congress MLAs who took money at that time to return it to Union minister Amit Shah. A few days later, Pilot refuted the allegation and hit back at Gehlot saying it seemed that Vasundhara Raje and not Sonia Gandhi was his leader.
