Gujjars warns Rajasthan government of agitation

Gujjar community has made it clear that it would resort to movement if their demands are not met by the government by October 31. Vijay Bainsla, Gujjar leader, told that Chief Minister Ashok Ghelot should be held responsible for the agitation.

Jaipur: The Gujjar community of Rajasthan made a final call for movement if their demands for reservation are not met by the government. Vijay Bainsla, son of Kirori Singh Bainsla, who led the society in every movement, clearly said that if their demands are not met within two days, they will start agitation. The community is tired of the alleged lackadaisical approach of the government.

The Gujjar community has a history of sitting on the railway tracks demanding reservation. During the recent Gujjar Reservation Mahapanchayat, the Panch Patels of the society under the leadership of Kirori Singh Bainsla warned the government to address their concern within October 31. Bainsla clearly said that the people of the society will take to the streets from November 1.

On the other hand, a meeting was to be held in the Secretariat in Jaipur, but later the place of meeting was changed to the residence of Minister Ashok Chandna. Here, top officials including ministers Ashok Chandna and Raghu Sharma were busy in finding the middle way.

CM Gehlot is responsible for the agitation

On the other hand, Vijay Bainsla, while speaking to ETV Bharat, clearly said that the movement will be organized if the demands are not met. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should be held responsible for the agitation. He also added that Member of Parliaments should act responsibly.

Meanwhile, the police officers of Bayana took the feedback of the ongoing discussions and preparations in the Gurjar society on the pretext of Community Liaison Group (CLG) meeting.

The government agreed to the following three demands of the Gurjars community during the meeting:

·In the view of deaths of Kailash Gujjar, Shaman Singh Gujjar and Badri Gujjar during the Gujjar movement, Rs 5 lakh should be given to each family by providing funds with social assistance.

· All the 1252 candidates belonging to the most Backward Classes who have completed their probation period should be given regular pay scale on completion of the probationary period.

·Earlier, the Government of India had written on 22.02.2019, dated 21.10.2020 to include the provision related to reservation for the Backward Classes by the State Government (Personnel Department) in the Ninth Schedule. For this, the State Government will be directed to include the above reservation provision in the Ninth Schedule.
