Jaipur: The customs department of Jaipur International Airport on Sunday recovered gold worth more than Rs 15 crores from the bathroom pipelines of the airport and arrested suspects in the smuggling.
Cleaner Ashok Kumar, Supervisor Yogendra Singh Rajput and Gajendra Singh Parmar were arrested in the case.
During interrogation, they confessed to their roles in the smuggling and it is being said that Gajendra Singh is an accomplice of Farrukhuddin Qureshi - another man in jail for smuggling.
Gajendra had landed in Jaipur on November 4 with a parcel and now the three accused will also be produced in the Economic Offenses Court by the customs officers.

The names of many more big smugglers are also expected to be unravelled in the case.
Earlier on Sunday, the Customs Department at Jaipur Airport had arrested a smuggler who reached Jaipur from Dubai on a Spice Jet flight with a total of 741 grams of gold.
The total value of the seized gold was said to be around Rs 40.62 lakh.
