Alwar: As many as four Bangladeshi detainees escaped from the detention centre in Alwar central jail on Monday.
As per reports, they escaped around 1 pm by jumping the wall of the jail. The jail administration swung into action as soon as they got the information. Top police officers rushed to the spot and started a search operation to nab them.
Speaking to ETV Bharat, Additional Superintendent of Police Shivlal Bairwa said, "Foreign detainees are kept here after the completion of their punishments. Around 1 pm, four Bangladeshi nationals escaped from here. We have blocked the entire district and they will be nabbed soon."
It is to be noted that after the completion of the sentence, foreign detainees are kept in a detention centre before they are deported. Detainees of Bangladesh and Pakistan are lodged in Alwar central jail's detention centre.
