Rajasthan is better off in corona testing compared to other states: Pilot
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, Rajasthan's deputy chief minister Sachin Pilot said that coronavirus is a cause of everyone’s concern but Rajasthan is better off in corona testing when compared to other states ravaged by the pandemic.
Jaipur: The coronavirus pandemic, which has spread and engulfed the whole world, is a cause of everyone’s concern.
As a result of political parties too are taking the situation seriously and are coming forward to the aid of the public.
In an exclusive interview with ETV Bharat, the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan, Sachin Pilot said that in regard to testing Rajasthan is better off, when compared to other states ravaged by the pandemic. But the work of testing must continue, at a higher speed.
Pilot also said that the pandemic can be fought effectively only by forgetting divisions of religion, community, geography and discrimination.
Pilot not only talked about the condition in Rajasthan but also discussed the situation in areas like Tonk, Ramganj and expressed his opinion on the current controversy regarding the results of the Youth Congress elections.
He also revealed some of the details of the video conference with UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and stated that she had suggested some measures through which the current coronavirus pandemic can be dealt with.
"Salaries of MP’s, MLA’s and Ministers being deducted and the idea of spreading awareness through advertisements for the country may pass through great economic upheaval and in such a situation precaution is the need of the hour," said Pilot.
Deputy Chief Minister Pilot also talked of Ramganj and his constituency Tonk and said that a review meeting had been held regarding his tour to Tonk and the conditions there.
In the meeting, methods and ideas to control the pandemic through social distancing were discussed.
Pilot also expressed concern regarding the condition of the poor and the labour class. He also said that the people should have been given some time before the national lockdown, so as to give some time to the people to be able to mentally understand and combat the unique situation.
He also explained the way in which the Rajasthan government is making efforts to fight corona.
"The contamination in Bhilwara is completely under control. Further stating that the region of Ramganj is facing challenges due to its unique circumstances, but that the government has posted its most efficient and capable officers on the critical spots to control the dire situation as soon as possible," he added.
He also admitted the fact that the condition of the poor class and also of the daily labourers is indeed worrying, but until an effective solution to the pandemic is not found, it is not possible to envision a brighter tomorrow, for anyone.
During the conversation, Pilot also expressed disapproval at the unfortunate situation that has arisen due to the election results of the youth congress.
The Deputy Chief Minister also said that villages too are being sanitized along with villages.
"About 35000 villages have been sanitized till now. Not only are people being made aware of ways to combat the virus but masks are also being distributed for their wellbeing. Efforts are being made to improve the situation in the rural areas, as soon as possible," said Pilot.
It is obvious that as the minister for the Department of Rural Development & Welfare, Pilot had already issued orders for distribution of ration to BPL families in villages through the respective panchayats.
