Jodhpur: The Rajasthan government decided to impose Section 144 for one month in eleven districts of the state from Monday in view of rising COVID-19 cases.
From 22 February to 21 March 2021 the gathering of four or more persons would not be allowed. Apart from this, the imperative of mask and social distancing will remain in force.
Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said on Sunday that the move to issue prohibitory orders has been done in the public interest. The 11 districts are - Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sikar, Pali and Nagaur.
The state government had also directed to impose prohibitory orders in areas with containment zones of the state.
Election campaigns, Airport, Railway Station, Bus Stand, Medical Institutes, Banks, Post Offices, State and Public Offices, Non-Government Offices, Industrial and Commercial Establishments, Schools and Colleges operating from class 6 to 12, examination halls are exempted from the section 144.
For a wedding to take place, the concerned officer-in-charge has to be informed about the ceremony beforehand and it will be mandatory to wear a face mask at the ceremony.

Screening and cleanliness will have to be ensured during the program. Provisions for thermal screening, handwash and sanitiser will be required at entry and exit points. The number of invited guests shall not exceed 200.
Besides the wedding, 20 people will be allowed to attend the funeral.
